MARSHALLTOWN Tampers are used to flatten and smooth dirt, stone, asphalt, and other materials and come in two different styles. Our Tamper with an Ash Handle has a 8in x 8in cast iron base and a 43in ash handle. The Welded Dirt Tampers have a steel pipe construction with welded gussets for increased strength. The 48in handle may be filled with sand for added weight. You have your choice of a 8in x 8in or 10in x 10in base. Our contractor-grade QLT Tampers come in the same sizes as our Welded Dirt Tampers and also have a 48in handle. It has a 10in rubber grip for a better hold.
