The Simpson Strong-Tie H1Z is a versatile and durable hurricane tie engineered to reinforce the connection between the roof and wall framing, helping resist uplift and lateral forces caused by high winds and seismic activity. Designed for nominal 2x lumber, this U-shaped connector holds the rafter or truss on both sides for high lateral load resistance and faster installation compared to using two single-sided ties. The H1Z features embossments that strengthen critical areas of the tie for enhanced performance and reliability. Its ZMAX® galvanized finish provides additional corrosion protection, making it ideal for both interior and exterior applications.
