The XTR01Z brings all the power of a plug-in tool without the hassle of cords. This router has an efficient brushless motor. As a result, you get up to 50% more run time. A brushless motor also means more power and speed and longer tool life. Makita offers a slim and ergonomic design on the body and rubberized grip of this tool for increasing comfort and control. The housing and base is made of aluminum.

Cordless Router Capability

The XTR01Z is engineered for a full range of cabinetry and woodworking applications. The variable speed control dial features electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load. Speed range is from 10,000rpm to 30,000rpm. Additionally, this router has a soft start feature for smooth startups with improved accuracy. For convenience this router has a smooth rack and pinion fine depth adjustment system for more precise settings. Also for convenience, this tool has a quick release cam system for convenient depth adjustments and base removal or installation. LXT technology delivers 380 feet of cutting performance on red oak with a 6mm straight bit and 5.0 amp hour battery. Also convenient is the separate lock button for the on/off switch which helps prevent accidental startups.

Makita Compatibility

The bases of corded Makita Compact Routers (models RT0700C and RT0701C) are fully compatible with the XTR01Z. Additionally, the XTR01Z easily connects to Makita vacuum cleaners with the optional dust nozzle for excellent dust extraction. In addition, this router is compatible with all Makita 18V LXT Lithium Ion batteries (purchase separately). This listing is for the tool only and does not include a battery.
