HR4013C 1‑9/16″ SDS‑MAX AVT Rotary Hammer
The Makita HR4013C 9/16in Advanced AVT Rotary Hammer accepts SDS-Max bits. This model delivers 20% more power than previous models for faster drilling. This model offers up to 2900BPM. Additionally, it has 45% less vibration. As a result of Makita’s Anti-Vibration Technology and you’ve got a comfortable, easy to use tool, with enough power to get the job done fast. The Makita HR4013C is compatible with a variety of options for dust management. It is ideal for a range of concrete applications including drilling/coring through-holes for pipes, setting larger anchors, securing tilt-wall supports, small chipping applications, and more.
The Makita HR4013C features a torque limiting clutch. This prevents gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears if the bit binds. Additionally, this rotary hammer has a variable speed control dial. As a result operators can properly match speed to application. The “soft no load” function automatically reduces the speed of the motor when idling. The result is longer tool life. Also standard is Soft start functionality which ensures greater accuracy on start up by suppressing start up reactions. After that, constant speed control automatically applies additional power to the motor under load to maintain consistent rotary hammer speed. This is important to keep the tool from bogging down.
Makita HR4013C Anti-Vibration Technology
The AVT on this rotary hammer is a 3 component system that sets new standards in vibration reduction. An air actuated counterbalance moves counterweight pistons in the opposite direction of the drive piston. This results in actively reducing vibration. The tool housing also has an integrated damper spring. This damper spring is at the base of the impact bolt and absorbs impact vibrations from the drill bit. The damper spring is integral in vibration resistance. It also isolates the rear and side handles. As a result, vibration to the user is significantly less. The Makita HR4013C has the lowest vibration in it’s class.
Not just for concrete drilling. The Makita HR4013C is ideal for a range of trades. This includes masons, concrete contractors, demolition contractors, plumbers, electricians, sprinkler installers, and general contractors. Anyone seeking a best-in-class rotary hammer owes this tool a look.
